In our first video, a series on artists featured at in Miami, we meet painter Jean-Pierre Roy, whose latest work details a convergence between his high art aspirations and early visual memory. Influenced by sci-fi and pop iconography, science, and psychology, Roy explores the internal landscape. He is interested in depicting people who are caught in between two worlds: the one they perceive as reality, and another that that seems just beyond their reach.
