You probably remember Jared Fogle from Subway campaigns, the aggressively normal-looking guy who became a spokesman for the sandwich chain after he lost a staggering 245 pounds by eating two low-fat subs a day and, apparently, walking a bunch.In the decade to follow his weight loss (he started at 425 pounds), Fogle appeared in countless Subway ads and represented the brand at events. Now, the former blubbery college student is worth some $15 million and heads the Jared Foundation, a charity that aims to combat childhood obesity.But now, childhood obesity might be the least of his concerns.According to multiple sources, Fogle's house in Zionsville, Indiana, is being raided this morning as part of an FBI investigation. Subway, thus far, has declined to comment to media sources, but FBI sources told local news station Fox59 that the raid was connected to a child pornography investigation.But this isn't Fogle's first time dealing with a scandal of this nature. In late April, Jared Foundation executive director Russell Taylor was arrested in connection with federal child pornography charges. According to the Indy Star, Taylor was formally charged just yesterday with seven counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography after a search of his home revealed more than 500 related videos. And in May, Taylor unsuccessfully attempted suicide from his jail cell.At the time, Fogle said that the arrest "shocked" him and that his charity was completely dissociating itself from Taylor.So much for all of that 90s nostalgia. Even a life of making millions from sandwich-eating may take a sharp turn into darkness.UPDATE (12:30 PM EST): Subway's corporate headquarters has issued the following statement in regards to the investigation:"We are shocked about the news and believe it is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and will be monitoring the situation closely. We don't have any more details at this point."At this time, Fogle has not been arrested or charged with any crimes.
