Here's the Real Story Behind the Deli that Magically Summoned Liam Neeson

“Where’s my free sandwich?”

Yesterday morning, Big Star Sandwich Co. in Vancouver posted a sign outside of its storefront stating, "Liam Neeson eats here for free." Little did they know how much the action star likes free stuff.

"Our manager Matt is a Liam Neeson superfan," Big Star owner Alex Johrden told MUNCHIES. "Matt's had his finger on the pulse and heard that Liam would be down in this area filming a new movie called Hard Powder. So, he put the sign out as a joke and at around 11 AM, and around 6:30 (PM), Liam Neeson walked through the door."

Sadly, that timing turned out to be a bit of a bummer for Matt, Johrden explains. "Unfortunately, Matt had gone home at this point and did not get to meet Liam Neeson, so we're hoping he comes back," Johrden explained. But that didn't stop Big Star from taking to Facebook to declare, "Holy f**k, it worked! #LiamNeeson."
