Tonight in the Champions League, Atletico Madrid takes on Barcelona, which leads the tie 2-1. Elsewhere, Bayern plays Benfica in Lisbon. Bayern won the first match 1-0.

The idea that soccer players are at risk for degenerative brain diseases linked with concussion and brain trauma is beginning to take hold in the sport. "There's got to be about 250 [former players] that I know of," Dawn Astle, the daughter of former footballer Jeff Astle, whose death was linked to brain trauma, told the BBC. "Not all of the families have come forward and some of the players have passed away."

Gordon Derrick, a (former) CONCACAF presidential candidate, has failed FIFA's now-mandatory integrity check. Australian rugby player Ryan McGoldrick tried to sell himself on Ebay yesterday as a "1981 antique rugby league player."
