US election day is upon us and Grimes is urging fans to vote for Hillary Clinton in a new video shared on Twitter. The Canadian synth-pop singer and producer dropped a minute-long clip on Monday in support of Clinton, taking cues from Lyndon Johnson's famous 1964 political ad campaign.

The original featured a young girl picking petals off a flower, counting down to a nuclear explosion, with Johnson's voice overlaid in the background telling voters, "We must either love each other, or we must die."

Grimes' recreation sees her picking petals and counting down to a similar apocalyptic bang, ending with a message tailored to the current presidential election: "Vote for Secretary Clinton on November 8th. The stakes are too high for you to stay home."
