Auston Matthews Dressed up as Ken Bone for Halloween

The Maple Leafs' rookie sensation entered the Bone Zone.

Rookie sensation Auston Matthews is currently tied for second in the NHL in goals and points, and has already claimed victory on one of the most crucial days of an athlete's season—Halloween.

Due to an extremely busy October schedule, Halloween celebrations came early (like they usually do) for the Maple Leafs and the rest of the NHL. The team decided to celebrate the occasion Sunday night after returning home from its first road trip of the year, and it was the American native Matthews who stole the show with a spot-on Ken Bone costume.

Bone, the undecided voter who became an internet sensation during the first presidential debate, is sure to be a popular choice for costume-makers everywhere this Halloween, but it will be tough to top Matthews' impersonation of Bone. This kid really is a star in the making.

For those who don't remember, here's a clip from the night Bone got his 15 minutes.

Peter Holland teamed up with Matthews and joined in on the political theme, dressing up as Donald Trump, while his girlfriend went as… you guessed it, Hillary Clinton.

Halloween celebrations occurred all throughout NHL locker rooms over the weekend, and down in Ottawa, Erik Karlsson gave Matthews a run for the title with this incredible Natalie Portman from Black Swan costume.

Alexander Ovechkin and his Capitals teammates got in on the act, too.

The boys love to have fun, but as former NHLer Patrick O'Sullivan knows, the fun will be short lived, especially for a Leafs team with Mike Babcock running the show.
