Congratulations: We've made it through the presidential debate season, and though America's image abroad has taken a beating, we're still standing for now.

While some of us turned to booze to drown out the torrents of personal attacks that took the place of policy discussion during the presidential head-to-heads, others decided to order in food fit for the occasion.

According to the food delivery service Caviar, orders for taco bowls and tacos were way up during the presidential debates. You'll recall that Trump, the man whose campaign for president was built on the idea of erecting a wall on the Mexican border, showed his love for Hispanics and Hispanic heritage earlier this year by tweeting a picture of himself eating a taco bowl on Cinco de Mayo. The caption, "I love Hispanics!" was paired with a grinning Trump giving a thumbs up. #MAGA!

While not all Americans love Trump, many of us have something in common with him—a big-league love of taco bowls. During each of the three presidential debate, orders through Caviar for taco-related items were up over 20 percent compared to the same day the week before, as Caviar users embraced delicious (taco-flavored) irony. Taco bowls, in particular, were popular, up 15 and 30 percent on debate night compared to the days immediately before and after, respectively. In a show of tasty solidarity, orders for Mexican food were up during debates night across the board.

Caviar's analytics uncovered other revealing debate ordering patterns. During the most recent debate—just days after Wikileaks released thousands of hacked emails from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, including one email that revealed Podesta's tips for making perfect, creamy risotto every time—orders for risotto were up by 67 percent.

On the other hand, orders for steak, the Trumpiest of foods, were down by an average of 12 percent on all three debate nights. And these weren't even Trump steaks!

Unsurprisingly, a whole lot of people chose to stuff their faces with highly caloric (and comforting) fried foods during the debates. With a future so uncertain, why not? Enjoy it while it lasts and get your ironic political food orders in while you can—there are only a couple of weeks left until Election Day.
