The 5 Most Popular MUNCHIES Videos of 2016

Clearly, y’all have a penchant for heavy food like pizza, steak, and fried chicken.

It's been a big fucking year and there's been a lot of darkness.

Luckily, we've been here to provide some moments of brief reprieve from the barrage of bad news that was 2016, mainly in the form of gluttonous food being prepared and eaten by people with lots of tattoos. And seeing as how 2016 shows no sign of letting up—even with just a few days left in its misery—we've compiled your favorite videos so you can go on a proper food show binge, presumably followed by a food-eating binge.

Clearly, y'all have a penchant for heavy food like pizza, steak, and fried chicken, and we can't really blame you either.

So, behold, in order, the five most popular MUNCHIES videos of this year, 2016.

Thanks for clickin' and watchin' on our crazy old website!

1. Brooklyn Is Pizza Heaven, The Pizza Show

The inaugural episode of The Pizza Show kicks off in Brooklyn. Our host Frank Pinello, a born and bred Brooklynite, remembers the importance of his neighborhood pizzeria growing up. We start at Roberta's in Bushwick, a pizzeria that has truly changed an entire neighborhood. Then we spend some time with Mark Iacono, owner of Lucali in Carroll Gardens, who built his restaurant by hand and is working tirelessly to preserve the tradition of his neighborhood through pizza. And what would any pizza show be without visiting the king: Dom DeMarco of Di Fara in Midwood? Dom is a legend, and even when great pizzaiolos visit him, like Frank and Mark, they can end up questioning their own pies.

2. How To Make Steak & Potatoes With Matty Matheson, How-To

Matty Matheson shows us how to make the perfect rib-eye steak and power-baked potatoes. Just follow along and try to not fuck it up! It's that easy, guys…

3. How to Make Matty Matheson's Squad Fried Chicken, How-To

This is a special day, guys! This is the day that Matty shows us how to make fried chicken. It's not Southern fried—it's squad fried chicken, which can be from anywhere in the world, as long as you have a good group of buddies to share it with.

4. From Deep Dish to Thin Crust: Chicago, The Pizza Show

Chicago is not a one-note pizza city. From its deep dish to tavern-style thin crust, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to pizza. Our host Frank Pinello has never been to Chicago but has an open pizza mind, even though he was raised on New York slices. What makes this city so special is the people, hands down. So while we hate a lot of great pizza, it was the people that really made our experience special. Whether Frank was learning about deep dish from Marc Malnati, making pizza with Rose at Vito & Nick's, or taking a dance lesson with the owner's of Freddy's pizza, one thing is clear in Chicago: this city has great pizza, and even greater people.

5. How to Make the World's Best Sandwich with Action Bronson, How-To

Action Bronson stopped by the MUNCHIES Test Kitchen to show us how to make his version of a simple butcher's sandwich. While a regular butcher's sandwich usually consist of some meat on bread with very little garnish, this version is as over-the-top as the man showing you how to make it. First, we start with some good Italian bread, a juicy rib-eye, and some olive oil. The second realm of this beast consists of ricotta salata and Calabrian chiles, and as if that weren't enough, a smear of grape must from the 1989 vintage of Paolo Bea Winery's top red wine. Enjoy!

We've got a lot more good stuff in store for 2017. Stay hungry.
