This Cucumber Ginger Limeade Is Delicious With or Without Booze

Spike it with tequila, shake it with some gin, or just enjoy it on its own for a cool-as-a-cucumber (literally) refreshment.

Things are getting seriously autumnal around here, so while you enjoy the dying days of delusionally believing that you'll never have to wear a down Parka again, you might as well kick back and sip on something cool and refreshing.

May we recommend this cucumber limeade from North Carolina chef, TV host, and cookbook author Vivian Howard? It's sweet, tart, and sooo damn quenching. It also enjoys a nice little kick of spice from a freshly made ginger simple syrup.

It won't mind one bit, either, if you decide to shake or stir it with a shot or two of gin or tequila. Might just help keep you warm when you start breaking out the wool sweaters in a couple of weeks.

Cheers.
