    Cannabis-Infused Bulletproof Coffee

    Bulletproof coffee, a potent morning performance enhancer, just got upgraded with a cannabis/caffeine buzz.

    Ingredients

    Metric: off on

    for the cannabis-infused butter:

    1 gram of high-quality cannabis

    1 stick butter (yields an overall potency of approximately 120 milligrams THC)

    for the Bulletproof Coffee:

    2 cups black coffee, freshly brewed

    1 teaspoon Bulletproof® Brain Octane

    2 tablespoons unsalted grass-fed butter infused with cannabis (see instructions below)

    2 tablespoons MCT oil (optional)

    1 gram of high-quality cannabis

    113.4g butter (yields an overall potency of approximately 120 milligrams THC)

    for the Bulletproof Coffee:

    500 ml black coffee, freshly brewed

    1 teaspoon Bulletproof® Brain Octane

    28.3 grams unsalted grass-fed butter infused with cannabis (see instructions below)

    28.3 grams MCT oil (optional)

    Directions Comments & Suggestions

    1. First, make the weed butter: Preheat the oven to 240º F.

    2. Grind 1/4 gram high-quality cannabis sufficiently to increase surface area without turning it into powder, then spread evenly on the bottom of a baking sheet. Place in middle of oven and allow cannabis to decarboxylate for one hour and fifteen minutes, stirring halfway through.

    3. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.

    4. Next, bring butter up to temperature slowly. Since cannabis is already decarboxylated, the butter only needs to be hot enough to extract cannabinoids (not decarb them). So bring to a very slow simmer and then spoon cannabis into it while stirring gently.

    5. Keep on a slow simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally and never reaching a boiling point. Then turn off heat and let cool for at least 20 minutes. While infusion cools, line a strainer with cheesecloth. Pour infusion through cheesecloth to separate out plant matter. Strain more than once if needed.

    6. The infusion is now ready to use (with potency of approximately 30 milligrams THC). Refrigerate when not in use (in a clearly marked container not accessible to children!). Will keep for about 2 weeks.

    7. Next, make the cannabis-infused Bulletproof Coffee: Start with 8 ounces (237 ml.) of filtered water, fresh off the boil. Add 2 ½ tablespoons (37 ml.) freshly ground Bulletproof® Coffee Beans and brew using your preferred method. If you are new to Bulletproof Coffee, add 1 teaspoon (5 ml.) Bulletproof® Brain Octane to 8 ounces (237 ml.) of hot coffee. Gradually increase the amount each day to reach 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml.) per cup. Add 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml.) grass-fed unsalted butter or weed butter to hot coffee and add MCT oil (optional).

    8. Mix it all in a blender for 20–30 seconds until it is frothy.
