This Boozy Pimm’s Ice Lolly Is the Only Way to Survive Wimbledon

Ditch the novelty picnic jug and turn your Pimm’s into a frozen popsicle. Match point.

The gentle thwack of balls interspersed with the grunts of elite sportsmen and women is in the air. We're of course talking about Wimbledon, the week-long tennis tournament that commenced yesterday in a flurry of strawberries, cream, and, naturally, Pimm's.

This is the week when it's pretty much obligatory to replace your morning coffee with a glass of the sweet, fruit and lemonade-packed cocktail. But instead of reaching for the novelty picnic jug, take a leaf out of London-based fruit lolly makers Lickalix's book and stick your Pimm's on a stick instead.

RECIPE: Pimm's Popsicles

To convert the drink into frozen popsicle form, blitz everything that you'd usually put in a Pimm's (strawberries, oranges, lemon juice, and the vital fruity liqueur) with sugar, pop in a cucumber slice, and freeze in a lolly mold.

Even if Britain suffers yet another premature exit this week, at least your Pimm's will be staying put, right there on its stick.
