New York runs on breakfast sandwiches, and that means those of us here at MUNCHIES HQ in Brooklyn eat a lot of them in the morning. Well, more accurately, we eat a lot of breakfast sandwiches on hungover weekend mid-afternoons.

When it comes to which breakfast sandwich is the King of New York, a debate rages: bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll or bagel, lox, and cream cheese on a bagel? Bagel shop or bodega? High brow or low brow?

Well, leave it to a sandwich guru in Los Angeles, a city that knows little about bodegas or bagels (we kid, kind of) to settle this pressing question once and for all by creating a sandwich that's the best of both worlds.
