Here's a Better, Bread-Free Way to Stuff Your Turkey

Chinese sausage, scallions, and sticky rice make for a stuffed turkey with amazing flavor and none of the sogginess. Here's the recipe.

They say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." But sometimes, shit is broke(n). (And don't we know that after the events of last week.)

Anyways, some people love the soggy, sage-y stuffing that we've come to think of as classic: cubes of stale bread, hella rosemary, crusty corners. There's nothing wrong with that. But there are others yet that are looking for something new. Maybe even something gluten-free, and we forgive them for that, because it's Thanksgiving and lord knows you have to let some things go if you want to survive your family dinner table (or the early hours of Friendsgiving, when the squad is not faded and everyone's main focus is avoiding their exes and trying not to ruin the bird).

But we digress. Here's a better way to do things: Stuff your turkey with sticky rice.

Hear us out—this isn't just bland ol' white rice. It's made with chicken stock, Chinese sausage, scallions, and thyme. When placed in your butter-basted turkey as it cooks, magical things happen.

We promise you won't miss the bread cubes—but there's always room for both at the table, too. Aww, unity.

Sometimes, you've just got to evolve.
