But to help you with one choice for today, we have the perfect dinner for you: khao man gai. This recipe comes from none other than Nong Poonsukwattana of Portland's insanely popular food cart, Nong's Khao Man Gai. And she keep no cooking secrets with us. (Hint: fresh pandan leaves! Chicken!)

RECIPE: Khao Man Gai

Thailand's incredibly aromatic version of chicken and rice is basically a two-for-one dinner deal; you get get a full pot of of soul-warming chicken stock for the rest of the week in addition to several platefuls of tender poached chicken and al dente jasmine rice. You'll want to add the simple ground white pepper, cilantro, and green onion-enhanced soy sauce that accompanies this dish to just about every single thing that you cook.
