In this How-To, Texas legend Jim Stockbauer goes behind the bar of the Longbranch Inn and attempts to show us how to make a Bloody Mary—the best next-morning remedy to combat the effects of a big night out. Does he succeed? Barely.As owner of Austin watering holes Longbranch Inn and Freedmen's (and formerly the Scoot Inn), infamous local legend Jim Stockbauer has been making news for over a decade, thanks to his customer hospitality battle with the city of Austin, the war with his neighbors over a pet pig, and his legal trouble with Oregon State University. He even once upset the entire internet when his bar's Twitter account was taken over by a rogue tweeter.

Jim's been a friend of VICE for at least as long, and has demonstrated his considerable skills to show us how to make biodiesel fuel, throw a great theme party, and survive a SXSW bender.
